유아의 문해능력과 자아존중감 및 운동능력 간의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 유아의 문해능력과 자아존중감 및 운동능력 간의 관계를 분석하고 문해능력에 영향을 미치는 예측변인을 분석하는데 있다. 연구대상은 유치원에 재원 중인 유아 155명이었으며, 평균월령은 70.20(SD=3.21)이었다. 구문이해력검사, 유아 자아존중감 검사 그리고 운동능력검사 도구를 사용하여 연구자료를 수집하였으며, 수집한 자료는 Pearson 적률 상관계수와 단계적 중다회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과, 유아의 문해능력과 자아존중감 및 운동능력 간에 유의미하게 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 자아존중감이 유아의 문해능력을 상대적으로 설명하는 강력한 정적 예측변인으로 밝혀졌으며, 비이동 운동능력은 추가적으로 문해능력을 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among young children’s literacy ability, sense of self-esteem and motor proficiency. Subjects used in this study were 155 young children whose mean age of 70.20(SD=3.21) months, and who were attended in six kindergartens. It used ‘Construction Meaning Comprehension Test’ the ‘Young Children's Sense of Self-Esteem Inventory’ and ‘Motor Proficiency Test for Young Children’ in collection of data. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 21.0 program. Pearson’s correlation and Stepwise Multi-Regression Analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of this study are as follow: First, there were positive correlations between young children’s literacy ability and self-esteem(emotional and social). Secondly, the result showed a positive correlations between young children’s literacy ability and motor proficiency(non-locomotor). Thirdly, Social self-esteem and non-locomotor ability were found to be the relative importance of the predictor variables affecting the young children’s literacy ability.
