Abstract
본 연구는 국내에서 수행된 유아체육교육 관련 연구물을 종합적으로 분석하여 유아체육교육 연구흐름과 내용을 총체적으로 탐색하고, 비판적으로 논의하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 2019년 1월부터 3월까지 체계적문헌고찰(systematic review)을 활용하여 유아체육교육 관련 문헌을 수집하였으며, ‘유아신체활동’, ‘유아체육’, ‘누리과정 건강 신체’의 검색어를 사용하여 총 409편의 연구물을 최종적으로 선정하였다. 연구시기, 연구 방법, 연구 영역 및 영역별 연구 주제의 세 가지 주제로 자료를 분석한 결과 첫째, 연구 시기는 1986년~ 1999년(1기), 2000년부~ 2004년(2기), 2005년~2011년(3기), 2012년~현재(4기)로 구분되었다. 둘째, 연구 방법은 양적연구, 질적연구, 문헌연구, 통합연구 중 양적연구가 73%를 차지하였다. 셋째, 연구 영역은 지도자, 학습자, 교육과정, 환경, 기초연구의 다섯 가지로 도출되었으며, 각각의 영역에서의 세부주제도 도출하였다. 연구결과 유아체육교육 현장 개선을 위해 연구방법의 다양화, 교육으로서의 유아체육의 학문화 노력, 유아체육교육 발전을 위한 정책적 관심 증대를 논의하였으며, 향후 유아체육연구자들의 교육학적 전문성 신장 노력, 효과성 검증을 위한 메타분석 연구 노력, 연구 영역의 확대 노력이 필요함을 강조하였다.
This study has its purpose in performing a comprehensive analysis of the South Korean studies on physical education for young children to conduct an extensive survey of and a critical discussion of the research details and trend. For this, a systematic review was done to collect literature related to the physical education for young children, and the keywords of ‘physical activities of young children’, ‘physical education for young children’, and ‘health and body in the Nuri curriculum’ were used to get its final selection of 409 studies. The data was analyzed in the three categories of research period, research method, and research area and research topic in the area. First, the research period was categorized into the first period between 1986 and 1999, the second period between 2000 and 2004, the third period between 2005 and 2011, and the fourth period between 2012 to present. Second, research methods include quantitative research, qualitative research, literature review, and integrated research, out of which quantitative research takes up 73%. Third, research category comprised leader, learner, educational curriculum, environment, and basic research, from each of which categories a specific topic was identified. The research related to programs in the curriculum took up a large portion of 65.3%. In a bid to improve the field practices in the physical education, the study has discussed the diversification of research methods, the effort to create an academic discipline out of the physical education for young children, and the increasing of policy attention to the development of the physical education for young children. The study emphasizes the need for enhancing the specialization in the education studies among those researchers in the physical education for young children, conducting a meta-analysis to test the effectiveness, and expanding the research area.
