- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of parental social support on exercise continuance and performance in KLPGA players. 127 KLPGA golfers participated in this study and were sampled from the 2015 KLPGA tour seed. The participants were surveyed and assigned either under 10 year(A) or over 10 year(B) and high level(C) or low level(D). Data was analyzed with SPSS PC win 18.0 Version and cronbach's α coefficient was calculated for measuring internal consistency reliability. Independent t-test was conducted to examine the difference of two groups and multiple regression analysis was also conducted to analyze the relationship of parental social support, exercise continuance, and performance. Results were as follows; First, there were statistically significant differences on behavioral and emotion support between A and B group. Behavioral support had significant effects on exercise continuance in A group and emotion support had significant effects on exercise continuance in B group. Second, there were statistically significant differences on emotion support between C and D group. Emotion support had only significant effects on performance in D group.
