Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the changes of mid-age adults' isokinetic muscle function, arterial compliance, and visual analogue scale as a results of 16 weeks’ Tama theraphy participation. Total of twenty participants were recruited from CHS dance sports which was located in G town in seoul. The participants were divided into two groups(exercise: n=10 and control group: n=10) and pre-and post-test were conducted to see the changes of the participants' isokinetic muscle function, arterial compliance, and visual analogue scale after 16 weeks of Tama therapy. Descriptive analysis, two-way repeated ANOVA, paired t-test and independent t-test were used to analyze the data by using SPSS 21.0 version program. In conclusion, this study found a positive effect of 16 weeks of tama theraphy participation on increase of the peak torque of right and left flexor, peak torque/BW, peak torque/BW, and total work, and right ABI index. In addition to these results, this study demonstrated that the 16 weeks of Tama theraphy reduce overall body muscle pains and other six parts of body pains (back of the neck/shoulder muscle, thigh muscle, tingling a arm, the hip area, eye train).
