- Abstract
- This study was proposed to provide fundamental information for understanding psychological characteristics of club golf coterie members via verification of structural relationship among passion, commitment and adherence in the group of amateur club golfers. To attain this purpose, total 337 subjects were selected with purposive sampling of non-probability sampling method for survey, and the final 315 data were analyzed with structural equation modeling. First of all, the relation between passion and commitment showed that harmonious passion has significant effect on behavioral commitment(β=.597, p<.001) and cognitive commitment(β=.527, p<.001) positively, and obsessive passion has significant effect on just cognitive commitment(β=.261, p<.001) factor positively. Second, in the relation between exercise passion and exercise adherence, only harmonious passion showed positive effect on exercise adherence(β=.261, p=.023). Finally, the relation between commitment and exercise adherence displayed that both of behavioral commitment(β=.322, p<.001) and cognitive commitment(β=.327, p<.001) positively affected exercise adherence.
