- Abstract
- There are many efforts to utilize mobile and wearable devices in the open IoT platform. Many studies especially try to apply the IoT technology to the field of fitness. However, the healthcare field has yet to have a proper platform in and around medical centers because of the possible privacy infringement when medical information is provided on the open platform and the service structure that do not reflect the user willingness in providing personal health information. Besides, a healthcare platform only for the IoT does not exist where the wearable or mobile devices measure personal biomedical information and provide seamless storage service. In this regard, the study suggested a dedicated IoT platform appropriate for the healthcare service to address the matter. The suggested IoT platform for healthcare has openness by maximizing independence from hardware, operating system and service, meaning that it can be provided in any environment. As the platform offers an independent structure in using a device and selecting a medical service, it is expected to provide users with a useful platform service in the future. © Research India Publications.
