- Abstract
- Recently in Korea the lack of jobs and the high unemployment rate is even more serious social issue like the social polarization. In this paper, the cause of high unemployment rate of jobs based on the public statistics released is the lack of job supply from service industry.
This paper suggests the value of service-industry jobs and the easiness of getting jobs from job seekers view. The effect of service-industry jobs consists of several key variables including the job supply and demand variables, and the direct and indirect variables. For solving unemployment issues, a causal feedback loop diagram for creating jobs in the service industry is proposed and its contributions for solving the unemployment rate are explained. This feedback loop is based on the system dynamics theory and the chain mechanism of cause and effect relationship is traced.
In further research, the quantitative modeling for creating service-industry jobs and its contribution in solving unemployment issues are to be applied in practice with Powersim Software modeling tool.
