The Influence of between the polymorphisms of vitamin D receptor gene and muscular power, ipsilateral and bilateral Muscular Strenght Ratio was examined in 40 Short tract skaters. Genomic DNA was extracted from Blood samples and vitamin D receptor genotypes were determined with the established restriction Fok Ⅰ enzyem methods. The muscular power, ipsilateral and bilateral Muscular Strenght Ratio of the dominant limb in concentric knee extensors and flexors were measured using Humac-Norm isokinetic dynamometer. The difference in muscular power, ipsilateral and bilateral Muscular Strenght Ratio between VDR genotype groups was analyzed using one-way ANOVA(SPSS version 12.0 for windows). the right and left muscular power was found to statistically significant difference(p<.000),(p<.05). the right and left ipsilateral Muscular Strenght Ratio was found to statistically significant difference(p<.01),(p<.01). the flexion bilateral Muscular Strenght Ratio was found to statistically significant difference(p<.05). if progress in a person-specific VDR gene polymorphism is considered to be a contribute on the development of Korean short track speed skating.-
