- Abstract
- This study was carried out to find out the influence of job career decision-making self efficacy on internship program satisfaction and career preparation behavior of students majoring in tourism. Out of 270 questionnaires, 248 were analysed. Based on conducting factor analysis results, internship program satisfaction was classified into 4 factors: constructs, contents, benefit and environment. Career decision-making self efficacy was classified into 4 factors (information gathering, self-evaluation, goal setting and problem solving) and career preparation behavior was classified into 3 factors (planning, counseling and searching). Self-evaluation factor of career decision-making self efficacy had influences on planning and searching factors of career preparation behavior. Self-evaluation factor of career decision-making self efficacy had positive influences on internship program satisfaction. Environment satisfaction factor of internship program had negative influences on career preparation behavior. Forth, internship program satisfaction had a mediating effect on the relationship between career decision-making self efficacy and career preparation behavior.
