- Abstract
- Influence on the Expression of Peroxisome Proliferator-Activatsityeceptor-α and Uncoupling Protein3 mRNA by Aerobic Exercise Time in Pregnant Mice. The purpose of this study is to investigate how aerobic exercise effects PPAR-α and UCP3 mRNA expression in order to determine the right amount of exercise for pregnant women 7 week old ICR mice, male(n=12), female(n=60), supplied by BIOKOREA were used in this study. After hybridization, pregnant mice were categorized into 2 groups depending on exercise amount; control group(n=15), aerobic exercise 15min group(n=15), aerobic exercise 30min group(n=15). First, statistical changes were noted for PPAR-α expression within muscle tissue when comparing the following groups; the control group and aerobic exercise 30min group(p<.05), Second, Although there were no significant statistical differences when comparing the control group, aerobic exercise 15min group and aerobic exercise 30min group, UCP3 mRNA expression within the liver showed no표 statistical differences when comparing the control group to the aerobic exercise 15min group(p<.05) and the aerobic exercise 30min group(p<.01). Therefore, tests showed that an adequate exercise time increased PPAR-α expression and an increased amount of exercise resulted in a higher level of UCP3 mRNA expression helping prevent gaining excess weight before and after pregnancy therefore having a positive effect on the health of both expectant mother and fetus.
