dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the winning percentage of professional baseball teams and the value of the companies. Despite the high growth potential of professional sports, it raises questions about whether it has been undervalued due to its low return on investment so far. Data were collected for the seven clubs from the KBO. Based on the the results of the season, which recorded the winning percentage of each professional baseball league and the business report on assessing each company's financial statements between 2009 and 2018. A latentl growth models was applied to estimate the initial value and slope of the potential variable, and the SPSS(ver 23.0) and AMOS(ver 23.0) statistical packages were used. In the data analysis procedure, the p-value was based on .05. The following results were obtained: First, the winning percentage of professional baseball teams and the value of their companies are drawing a curve of growth trend according to the time flow of each year. Second, the winning rate of professional baseball teams has been shown to form a relationship between the value of the companies. Many different perspectives on how the company spends a lot of money to run a professional baseball club, and the company is taking some risks. However, it is meaningful that the unseen effects that the company achieves or expects in operating a professional baseball club were verified through empirical analysis based on the assessed value of the company.-
