- Abstract
- Oligonucleotide-templated Ag nanoclusters (DNA-AgNCs) has been widely used to detect biomolecules of interest due to the useful properties. To understand fluorescence quenching and enhancement of DNA-AgNCs by cDNA, this study used cDNA containing several mismatched bases (cDNA-1) and the full-length cDNA with a mismatched base (f-cDNA-1). We showed that DNA-AgNCs decreased fluorescence intensities to different degrees by hybridization of cDNA and cDNA-1. However, the fluorescence intensities of DNA-AgNCs in the presence of f-cDNA and f-cDNA-1 increased by 153% and 491%, respectively, compared to that of DNA-AgNCs, respectively.
