dc.description.abstractThis letter provides a comprehensive analytic framework for the full-duplex MAC protocol. First, to the best of our knowledge, we develop the first full-duplex model that practically considers non-saturated traffic conditions. Second, we examine all types of full-duplex transmissions, namely, asymmetric and symmetric transmissions. Through both analysis and simulations, we show that our analytic model accurately evaluates the throughput and delay performance for all types of full-duplex transmissions in non-saturated conditions.-
