dc.description.abstractAs the power system grows, the power generation is concentrated for large-scale transmission, and the transmission line increases, and the impedance of the system continues to decrease. Accordingly, the fault current that occurs during a fault is also increasing, and it is impossible to continuously develop a circuit breaker with a higher capacity according to the size of the fault current. Therefore, the fault current of the system must be systematically managed. For this purpose, bus separation and line separation are utilized in terms of system operation. However, since there are many buses and lines in the actual system, there are too many methods for bus separation and line separation. Since there should be no line and transformer, it takes a lot of time and effort to decide the method one by one. In this paper, to solve this problem, Genetic programming is introduced to optimize the bus and line separation method. In addition, by systematically defining the bus and line separation method, it is intended to reduce the optimization time by limiting it to the range that can actually be operated in the power system, while increasing the convergence probability and suggesting a way to make it usable in the actual operation of the power system. It is judged that this technique will be of great help in establishing the power system operation plan in terms of fault current in the future.-
