Abstract
This study aims to examine how the KLPGA champions tour flow in sports affects their job satisfaction and quality of life. To this end, we conducted a questionnaire survey among 108 professional golfers who were participating in the second tournament of the 2022 Champions Tour, which was hosted and organized by the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA). During the two-day tournament held at Gunsan Country Club, on June 2 and June 3, we distributed and collected self-reporting questionnaires about flow in sports, job satisfaction, and quality of life. To analyze the collected data, we conducted frequency analysis, validity and reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using the SPSS and AMOS/WIN 18.0 programs. The results are as follows. First, flow in sports had a statistically significant effect on job satisfaction. Specifically, flow in sports was found to have a positive (+) effect on both intrinsic and extrinsic satisfaction, which are the sub-factors of job satisfaction. Second, flow in sports was found to have a positive (+) and significant effect on all of the sub-factors of quality of life in terms of psychological aspects, living environment, and self-satisfaction. Based on these results, we discuss the academic and practical implications.
