dc.description.abstractWool composites have gained an interest in novel materials of many applications, e.g., fabric, carpeting, furniture, upholstery, removing odors, and vibration. The wool composites materials were studied to improved environmental friendliness, recyclability, biodegradability, and reduction in weight and cost. Besides, much literature has recently been investigated to improve the physicochemical properties and testing methods of wool composites. The impacts of compatibilizers on interfacial bonding of wool and composites were recognized by mechanical property. Thermal stability and the formation of chars have been improved, which could provide fire resistance. Composites containing different fractions of wool weight showed improvement of the impact toughness. Herein, this chapter focused on advanced techniques for testing and characterizing wool composites, i.e., morphological analysis, mechanical properties, thermal analysis, thermal performances, and flame-retardant properties. © 2022 Elsevier Ltd.
