dc.description.abstractPurpose This study examines the efficiency of government-funded research and development (R&D) projects in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) by categorizing them into the type of the R&D project and the actors of R&D project. Methods By considering the characteristics of R&D projects, this study uses data envelopment analysis that is useful in dealing with multiple inputs and outpus, Results According to the type of the R&D project, the technology development program shows higher efficiency than the technology commercialization program. Also, in terms of the actors, the highest efficiency is exhibited when performed by large or medium-sized enterprises. Conclusion Based on the estimation results, several implications are suggested for more efficient government-funded ICT R&D projects.-
