  • Bone & Joint Research (BJR) is owned and published by The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery, a registered charity (No. 209299). The Society was established with the object of: 'The advancement and improvement of education in orthopaedic surgery and allied branches of surgery and the diffusion of knowledge of new and improved methods of teaching and practising orthopaedic surgery in all its branches'. As part of our charitable remit, The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery supports several orthopaedic fellowships with financial donations. These include the ABC fellowship, the Mark Paterson Travelling Fellowship (an initiative with EFORT), and the Indian Orthopaedic Society fellowship in conjunction with the British Orthopaedic Trainee Association. BJR launched in October 2011 and accepts papers across the whole spectrum of the musculoskeletal sciences, including but not limited to: /// Basic science /// bioengineering /// regenerative medicine /// stem cells /// inflammation /// immunology /// infection /// cancer genetics /// genomics /// metabolomics /// proteomics /// tissue research /// ligaments /// veterinary orthopaedics /// clinical and translational laboratory studies that conform to CONSORT and STROBE guidelines /// studies from the device and pharmaceutical industries.
