dc.description.abstract | t The purpose of this study is to evaluate the energy impact of an air-source heat pump for air conditioning and domestic hot water in an office building. The multi-functional heat pump system was compared with existing air-conditioning system and gas-fired water boiler system to evaluate the energy saving potential. The detailed energy simulation was conducted by commercial energy simulation tools. The result shows that the proposed system can reduce 16.6 % of energy load and 3 % of primary energy consumption compared with existing system, and this is because of the low water heating load . If the renewable energy such as PV can be integrated with the proposed heat pump system, it is expected that more energy saving effect can be expected. | - |
