| dc.description.abstract | This study compared the annual energy consumption of the heat pump-driven liquid desiccant (HPLD) system and the variable air volume (VAV) system in a plant factory. According to the simulation, the HPLD system can save 77.4% energy consumption than the VAV system. A 10 kW proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) can meet 92% of electricity demand and 80.9% of heat demand in this plant factory. In addition, this plant factory can reduce 14.8% of the carbon dioxide emissions from the fuel cell and meet 7.1% of the daily water loss through the water from the fuel cell. At the same time, a 4.5 MWh battery energy storage system can cover the power storage of the plant factory. | - |
