The purpose of this study was to analyse the influence of outdoor temperature on occupants’ window opening behaviour in residential buildings. A field measurement of 23 residential housing units was carried out for 11 months. Outdoor and indoor environmental conditions and window state were continuously monitored during the measured period. The window opening behaviour was explained by outdoor temperature. The proportion of windows open as a function of outdoor temperature has changed at 10℃ and 19.5℃. The window opening behaviour during a day varied depending on the outdoor temperature. As outdoor temperature increases, windows were mainly opened at night-time for cooling strategy.-
