The main purpose was to identify the motivation of occupant’s window opening and closing behaviour in residential buildings. Field measurement was conducted from 23 residential housing units. Outdoor and indoor conditions and windows’ positions were continuously measured for 11 months. Logistic regression analysis was used to find influence of the measured parameters on the occupants’ behaviour. Common patterns were grouped using cluster analysis. As a results, time of day, indoor air quality (indoor CO2 concentration), thermal condition (outdoor temperature, indoor air temperature) were the main motivation of window opening and closing behaviour.-
