Abstract
Industrial 4.0 is a comprehensive convergence of IT and industry, including AI, big data, robots, autonomous vehicles, and smart factories. The most representative field is the smart factory. The Korean government is also expanding support projects aimed at distributing 30,000 smart factories by 2022 to SMEs. However, despite the government's aggressive policies, smart factories are not well spread in case “small and medium-sized” manufacturing plants. Most of the related researches have been focused on 'Smart Factory Standardization' and 'Study Preparation Framework for Establishing Smart Factory Introduction Stages', but empirical research on SMEs before the introduction of Smart Factory has not been conducted yet. The purpose of this study is to derive the key determinants by analyzing the factors hesitant to introduce and the factors that domestic small and medium-sized manufacturing companies want to introduce. As a method of research, the 5force stakeholders of smart factories are executed through Delphi to derive the hesitate factors and introduction factors, and the results are analyzed by AHP, which is a multi-standard pairwise comparison method. This study has a different meaning as an empirical study on the stance and management status of SMEs, which have slowed the expansion of smart factories. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that smart factories will be further expanded by preparing appropriate policy measures for the management environment.
