dc.description.abstractIntroduction Of the more than 560 commercial nuclear power plants that are or have been in operation, approximately 120 plants have been permanently shut down and are in the process of decommissioning [1, 2]. In Korea, decommissioning of a retired NPP will begin in 2023; some countries have already decommissioned nuclear power plants. The schedule, strategy, and cost for reducing radioactive waste associated with decommissioning are closely related to the type and quantity of radioactive material present at the plant. Thus, evaluation of the radioactivity distribution of each radioactive isotope is important in sorting and disposal.-
