코로나19 상황이 보육교사 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 코로나19 이후 어린이집의 운영 실태를 파악하고, 코로나 전후 교사의 직무스트레스의 차이를 분석하고자 하였다. 또한 교사의 개인적 특성에 따른 직무스트레스의 차이를 분석하고, 어린이집 감염 예방관리가 교사의 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 및 경기지역 어린이집에 재직 중인 보육교사 216명의 설문 조사를 통해 자료수집이 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 26.0을 활용하여 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였고, 대응표본 T검증, 일원변량분석과 Scheffé의 사후검증, 단순회귀 분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 코로나19 이후 어린이집의 운영에 있어 ‘긴급보육만 운영(75.7%)’한 어린이집의 수가 가장 많았고, 근무형태는 ‘유연 근무나 단축 근무제 시행(54.7%)’이 많았으며, 급여와 관련하여 대부분의 교사가 ‘자신의 급여에 변화가 없다’(92.6%)는 결과가 나타났다. 둘째, 코로나19 이전과 이후 보육교사의 직무스트레스의 차이에서는 코로나19 발생 이후에 직무스트레스가 높게 나타났으며, 업무 과부하 요인(t=3.12(p<.01)에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 개인변인에 따른 직무스트레스는 연령, 경력, 학력, 담당학급연령, 재직기관에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 어린이집 감염예방관리가 보육교사의 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향력은 17%라 할 수 있으며, 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다(F=44.36, p<.001). 따라서 본 연구는 코로나19와 같은 위기상황에서 보육교사의 직무스트레스를 경감할 수 있는 지원방안에 대한 시사점을 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to understand how COVID-19 has affected the job stress rates of early childhood teachers. This study first analyzes the differences in the job stress rates of teachers before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, and examines the relationship between job stress rates and different teachers’ personal characteristics. This study also aims to examine how different infection prevention strategies have affected teachers` job stress rates. The survey was conducted among 216 early childhood teachers working in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, from between July and September 2020. The collected data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, T-test, one–way ANOVA, and simple regression analysis with the use of SPSS WIN 26.0. The findings of this study are as follows. Firstly, the job stress rates of early childhood teachers became higher after the outbreak of COVID-19 when compared to the rates before COVID-19, with an additionally significant effect on the task overload factor (t=3.12(p<.01)). Secondly, the results showed that the higher the average age of the teacher, and the greater the experience level of the teacher, the higher their job stress rate. In addition, there were significant differences in the work overload level depending on the teacher’s academic background, relationship with colleagues, and average student age. Lastly, infection prevention strategies implemented at daycare centers had a significant impact on job stress rates. This study provides meaningful findings which could provide information for future strategies which would support measures that reduce the job stress of early childhood teachers during times of crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
