dc.description.abstractWe propose the surface modification with reactive mesogen for strong azimuthal anchoring energy and low pretilt in fringe field swiching mode. To cofirm the elecrtic optical characteristics,we facricated 4.3-inch WVGA fringe-field switching mode usinf RM-micwd in planar alignment layer. The RM-mixed alibnebt later face rise to improvement of rhe response time bt an enhancement of azimuthal anchoring energy. In addition, due to low pretilt angel of the RM-mixed alignment layer, no gray inversion was observed at the off axis.-
