북정마을의 지형적 특성을 반영한 복합문화시설 제안

Abstract

This paper aims to propose cultural facilities as one of projects for 'Designing Community(Town)' for Bukjeong district located in poor area of Seongbuk-dong, Seoul. The facilities are planned as three complex from existing five buildings considering current surroundings such as environmental, cultural and social elements with specific programs. Because of the same orientation with its concept toward architecture design, we researched theoretical background of Topographical Architecture focusing on environment and nature which is implemented by blurring boundaries between building and ground. The buildings are supporting Topographical Architecture and concentrated on indoor or outdoor circulation as main design elements to reflect topographical and environmental characteristics. Through its design, we expect these facilities provide users with spatial spaces for cultural activities with architectural experiences reflecting environmental factor as well as assist to regenerate the community.
