실시간 온라인 한국어 수업 개선 방안: 학습자 만족도를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 실시간 온라인 한국어 수업에 대한 학습자의 인식과 만족도를 조사하여 실시간 온라인 한국어 수업의 개선 방안을 제안하는 데에 있다. 본 연구는 국내 서울 시내 대학부설 한국어 교육 기관에 재학 중인 외국인 학생 367명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여그들의 실시간 온라인 한국어 수업에 대한 인식과 만족도를 조사하는방식으로 이루어졌다. 조사 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습자 요인 중 국적, 참여 동기, 대면 수업 참여 등에 따라 만족도에 차이가있었다. 둘째, 듣기, 읽기, 문법 지식 수업에 대해서는 수업 효과가 높다고 느끼고 있었지만, 말하기와 쓰기 수업에 대해서는 수업의 효과가 낮다고 느끼고 있었다. 셋째, 콘텐츠 요인이 만족도와 상관성이 높았다. 넷째, 교사 요인보다는 동료 요인이 만족도에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로파악되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 실시간 한국어 수업의 개선 방안에 대해 정리해 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 수업을 위한 양질의 콘텐츠 개발이 필요하다. 둘째, 교실 수업에서 동료와의 상호작용을 높일 수 있는교수법 개발이 필요하다. 셋째, 표현 영역 능력 신장을 위해 학습자 중심의 교수법이 마련되어야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to survey KFL student’s perceptions and satisfaction with real-time online Korean classes and suggest ways to improve real-time online Korean classes. The survey was conducted on 367 foreign students attending a Korean language institute. The results of the survey are summarized as follows. First, among the factors of students, there were differences in satisfaction depending on nationality, motivation to participate and experience participating in real-time online Korean classes before, etc. Second, the student felt that the effects of the real-time online Korean classes were high on listening, grammar and reading classes, but low on speaking and writing classes. Third, among the factors of real-time online classes, content factors were highly correlated with satisfaction. Fourth, it was found that peer factors had a greater impact on satisfaction than teacher factors. Based on these results, the followings should be considered to improve real-time Korean classes. First, it is necessary to develop suitable contents for the online environment, not just dataized offline content. Second, it is necessary to develop methods of facilitating interaction with peers in real-time online Korean classes. Third, learner-centered teaching methods should be in place for the enhancement of student’s expressive skills.
