dc.description.abstractThis study proposed a hollow fiber membrane dehumidifier, and experimentally investigated the dehumidification and enthalpy exchange performance for the operation in summer. There were four operating parameters of inlet primary air temperature, inlet primary air relative humidity, primary airflow rate, secondary airflow rate, and the dehumidification effectiveness and enthalpy effectiveness were selected as performance indices of a hollow fiber membrane dehumidifier. The measurement results presented that the increase of the inlet primary air temperature and relative humidity have the positive significant effects on dehumidification and enthalpy exchange effectiveness owing to the increase in vapor pressure gradients between primary and secondary airs. In addition, the dehumidification effectiveness and enthalpy effectiveness were significantly increased when the ratio of the primary airflow rate to the secondary airflow rate (airflow rate) increased from 0.67 to 1, while the airflow ratio when varied from 1 to 1.5 showed insignificant effect on the dehumification effectiveness and enthalpy effectiveness.-
