| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to evaluate the applicability of a membrane for maintaining the solution concentration in the sump of a liquid desiccant system. The mass transfer rate and the variation of the solution concentration were compared according to the mass transfer resistance of a membrane to evaluate the applicability of a membrane. The mass transfer resistance of the case 1, 2, and 3 were assumed to be 100, 350, and is 600 s/m, respectively. The results showed that the smaller mass transfer resistance, the more mass transfer rate. The difference of the solution concentration in the absorber and regenerator sump was also compared. The difference of the solution concentration of the case 1 is less than the caes 2 and case 3. Therefore, the membrane with low mass transfer resistance is advantageous in terms of maintaining the concentration of the solution in a liquid desiccant system. | - |
