dc.description.abstractWhen the over-current which is higher than normal current flows to the load, the Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) protects the load in low voltage system. In process of the interruption, high temperature and high pressure arc is generat ed during the separation of two contactors. But these conditions which is hot and high pressure gas between two contactors make the Dielectric Recovery Voltage(DRV) lower than the Recovery Voltage(RV) so, the ignition occur after arc interruption. In this paper, we investigate an influence of adding the dielectrics (as an insulator) between two contactors to increase the fixed DRV. Currently, studies of decreasing arc by dielectrics ablation is being carried out. So, we use this characteristics to increase dielectric recovery strength. We vary the material of insulator to investi gate how the permittivity of insulator effects on DRV, too.-
