As the smart phone and the portable tabular PC have accelerates deployment of real time streaming services, mass retrieval services, and multimedia web services over the mobile IP networks, QoS guaranteeing and traffic engineering has become more important issue and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technologies are likely to be deployed in the next generation mobile IP networks. Because the MPLS uses the connection oriented end-to-end protocol the mobility management is more difficult and has longer handover latency than those of the handover based on connectionless Internet Protocol (IP). We proposed a group based mobile MPLS scheme called GM-MPLS to support fast and low power handover. The proposed GM-MPLS scheme not shows faster and lower power consuming handover than not only existing mobile MPLS schemes even but also the latest and most advanced mobile IPv6 schemes.-
