| dc.description.abstract | There are many biological signal measurement systems such as BIOPAC and evaluation boards for specific signals. However, most of these boards and systems are manufactured for research, not for educational purpose. There are many limitations in adding or modifying circuits directly. Therefore, we developed a bio-signal acquisition and processing system (BMDAQ) that is highly utilized in educational purpose. The BMDAQ board consists of an analog board, a digital board and PC application programs, as well as teaching materials of educational lectures. We designed an analog board using three Op-Amps instrumentation amplifiers instead of a single chip for electrocardiogram (ECG). The digital board is designed to convert the signal coming from the analog board into digital and transmit the data to the PC through serial communication. The application program provides real-time filtering of biomedical signal and display of original and filtered signal. BMDAQ board and textbook were designed and produced for educational purpose and have been used as teaching materials. | - |
