| dc.description.abstract | At present, the coffee industry in Korea is growing rapidly every year. Modern people in the growing cafe market want to find new things and feel their emotions in various cafe spaces, and the cafe is also trying to express these modern people’s needs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of emotional design in franchise cafes and to present basic data that can be used in future franchise and cafe design plans. The scope of this study was limited to three of the highest franchise cafe headquarters in Seoul, Korea. The analysis results are as follows. First, coffee-related machines and MD products placed in stores play an important role in attracting user’s curiosity and leading to additional consumption. When entering the store, the aromas of coffee and bakery that can be smelled can also stimulate consumption. Second, the materials commonly used in the three stores are wood and iron. The combination of soft and warm wood and iron that centers on a colder feel creates the space. The next most popular materials were bricks and concrete, which were used to give points to walls and columns, and concrete was used for walls and floors. Third, regular event programs, such as a live lounge, can urge users to return, and the gentle music in the store helps the user to stay in a more comfortable space. | - |
