- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to confirm the Strengthening Effect of Reinforce Concrete Frames Retrofitted with the Wall Friction Damper of 20t capacity. In order to confirm this strengthening effect, the specimens were manufactured with the two-storey RC frames as size of 4.35m x 6.95m referring to the standard drawings of school in 1980. The test parameters were set as Non-Retrofitted specimen (OMF-N) and two stroies Retrofitted with the Wall Friction Damper specimen (OMF-ALL). The Wall Friction Damper was connected by chemical anchors and epoxy. As a test method, a cyclic loading test based on ACI 374 was conducted for the lateral load, and 10% of the column axial load was applied.
