dc.description.abstractThis study presents an experimental confirmation of the surface positive charges drifting to the exposed electrode in the cathode layer of atmospheric surface dielectric barrier discharges (SDBD) using the etching method. Local surface erosion around the microprotrusions on the polyimide near the exposed electrode provides an experimental confirmation of the interaction of the positive surface charges with the exposed electrode in SDBD.
