dc.description.abstractThis study experimentally compared dehumidification performance of the packed bed cross flow type liquid desiccant (LD) dehumidifier with that of the counter flow type dehumidifier under the same operation conditions. Both flow type dehumidifiers have the same packing media volume, and experiments were carried through environmental test chamber under the same operating conditions. In this study, parametric analysis on dehumidification performance were conducted to investigate and compare the effects of the operating parameters on counter/cross flow type LD dehumidifiers. The results show that the variation tendencies of dehumidification and enthalpy effectiveness of counter/cross flow LD dehumidifiers were different most as the inlet air humidity ratio changed. Therefore, it can conclude that the counter-flow LD dehumidifier performed better especially in humid climate.-
