| dc.description.abstract | A number of idle facilities have been created as the abandoned facilities that have lost their functions are neglected and the space utilization of the facilities has fallen. Complex cultural spaces using these buildings are attracting attention. Therefore, this study analyzes the spatial characteristics of the multi-cultural space reproduced based on the regeneration case of the multi-cultural space using idle facilities and suggests improvements. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, the space composition of the complex cultural space using idle facilities was shown as an exhibition, education, experience, commercial and resting space. Second, the exhibition space was designed to utilize the finishing materials and structures of existing buildings. The educational space created various cultural programs. The rest area is divided into a space that is either with or independent of a cafe, and the experience space can be experienced as a 'participatory exhibition' where the audience can participate directly. Third, the exterior has the same appearance as the previous building, and it is enlarged or partially remodeled by necessity, and it does not discard the image of the past building. In the future, more cases should be conducted to identify the space composition and characteristics of the complex cultural space by utilizing idle facilities | - |
