dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this review was to analyze occupants’ ventilation behaviour in their homes with mechanical ventilation systems in aspect of indoor air quality and thermal comfort. From the reviews it is found that most of occupants preferred the natural ventilation using opening windows even though mechanical ventilation systems can improve IAQ more efficiently with low energy consumption. compared with natural ventilation, prepared did not use mechanical fans for ventilation. There was a statistically significant relationship between window opening behavior and outdoor temperature. The higher is the outdoor temperature, the longer the windows are opened. When the outdoor temperature was more than ℃10, a sufficient amount of outdoor air are supplied in indoor through natural ventilation. Though the mechanical ventilation system was operated only for a few days throughout a year, the mechanical ventilation systems of homes can reduce exposure to outdoor particles significantly compared with the natural ventilation by window opening, because they has filter units in intake side of outdoor air.-
