The aim of this paper is to discuss the terminology history of research and to establish concept of the basic terminology. The topics are as follows. First, this article summarized the history of terminology research. The flow of terminology research was largely divided into academic language and non academic language. Second, we set the concept of terminology. Based on this, we concretized the concepts of basic terminology. The third, we research a selection process for basic terminology. This paper presents an expert consultation and validation by Standard Korean Dictionary(표준국어대사전).
