| dc.description.abstract | For the past few decades, Korea's rapid social and value changes have quickly dissolved Korean families. Under this unfavorable situation, the number of the adult children who have grown up in these dysfunctional home environment has drastically increased, causing many domestic and social problems. Hence, this study, based on the ABCDE model of REBT(Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) theories by Albert Ellis(1962), understood an antecedent event that adult children experienced and attempted th a dance/movement therapy program which can change adult children's irrational belief system that negatively affects their personal relations into a rational system, and the following were considered and designed. First, The program should be constructed in the way that even the adults not familiar with movements can follow them without any reluctance. Second, the program should be designed in the way that it can create a trust relationship between the therapist and the client. Third, as the relationship must be solved from individual problems, and developed to social relationships besides adult children's parents, siblings, and friends of the same ages, this study enabled them to solve their problems positively with phased goals. Also, because the adult children's lacking desires and wounds occurred at home first of all, it enabled them to maintain possible relationships helping one another even after the program is finished by making sessions for even their families to participate in. Finally, it enabled REBT's refutation technique to make program participants not only become passage of therapy among them but also accept antecedent events rationally through a wide variety of movements. The significance of the study on this program lies in the fact that it seeks to help boost the possibility of family reunion along with adult children's inner growth and encourage them to achieve harmonious relations with others as members of the society by presenting workable solutions to the symptoms of adult children and the social problems caused by the collapse of the families of today. | - |
