dc.description.abstractDynamic responses of a flexible multibody system are determined by the system parameters such as geometry and material properties of the system. In practical situations, such system parameters have uncertainty because of manufacturing tolerances and material irregularity. Since the parameter uncertainty leads to the uncertainty of dynamic responses of the system, reliability-based design needs to be conducted through uncertainty quantification of the system. For the flexible multibody system, random fields of the parameters should be considered since the uncertainty of flexible bodies are the function of spatial variables. Therefore, an uncertainty quantification method of the multibody system considering parameter random fields needs to be developed. In the present study, an uncertainty quantification method of the flexible multibody system considering parameter random fields was proposed.-
