| dc.description.abstract | Measuring tension of bridge is an important issue in construction engineering field. Ultrasonic, torque wrench, and magnetic flux are widely used to measure axial force. These methods have complex measuring steps and inaccurate results caused by friction loss. In this study, the method of estimating tension of bridge using ultrasonic wave was developed. Transverse wave speed is changed when the cable gets tensile or compressive load because of wavenumber change. The cable can be modeled as a beam. The beam is excited by piezo electric actuator for sensing dynamic property change. These parameters are transformed into a tension. | - |
