dc.description.abstractImpacts generated by interference of inside panels of vehicle cause Buzz, Squeak, Rattle(BSR) noises. Identifying the location of impact source in actual vehicle is essential to reduction of the noises. In this study, localization algorism of the impact source in a actual vehicle in Body-In-White(BIW) condition is proposed. The proposed algorism is verified by theoretical model and experimental result on an actual vehicle. Flexural wave characteristics are analyzed on Timoshenko beam using the BSR signal measured in the vehicle. A test is conducted on BIW vehicles modeled with beam elements using spectral element method. The predicted results are compared with actual location of impact sources. Using the proposed algorithm, the l ocation of source is predicted by small number of vibration measurements.-
