dc.description.abstractIn this study, three-dimensional finite element analyses were performed to calculate the stiffness matrix (K-matrix) of bucket foundation, which is a input parameter for load analysis of offshore wind turbine. The L-pile program was used to calculate the stiffness matrix in the same condition, and the difference was compared. It is shown that the results of L-pile using the p-y curve for long pile can over-predict the stiffness of bucket foundation. The effect of base resistance of bucket foundation is important, but there is a limit in L-pile that can not be considered exactly. Therefore, the stiffness of bucket foundation, which have small aspect ratio, should be calculated by the finite element analysis.-
