- Abstract
- In this paper, a compact UWB antenna with quintuple notch bands is proposed to suppress the potential interferences in ultra-wide band systems. By introducing a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), two U-shaped slots, a pair of C-shaped band rejection filters, and a U-shaped band rejection filter, five notches are achieved in WiMAX (3.14-3.61 GHz), C-band downlink (3.74-4.31 GHz), WLAN (5.2-5.88 GHz), X-band downlink (7.05-7.71 GHz), and ITU 8 GHz signal band (8.1-8.97 GHz). In addition, the proposed antenna has omnidirectional radiation patterns in H-plane.
