| dc.description.abstract | This is a methodological study to measure the perception of the healing environment among nurses. Twenty-seven items were drawn through literature review; then, three items were added and revised through interview with experts and review, finally obtaining 30 items. The instrument was tested for reliability and validity through factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha in nurses working at general hospitals. Each of the 30 items had a correlation coefficient of .30 or more with all the other items and six factors were drawn: stress restoration, a sense of comfort, ease of space perception, privacy, social support & interaction, and individual personalized service. The final instrument's reliability was estimated at .955. This instrument is expected to be useful in measuring how the healing environment is perceived by nurses at hospital facilities since it was statistically found to be reliable and valid. ? 2015 International Information Institute. | - |
