dc.description.abstract | Studies on the sick building syndrome (SBS) have been carried out actively recently, along with increasing interests in health by improved the public welfare. In order to mitigate the SBS, the Korean government obligates to perform flush-out before the occupancy when newly constructing more than 500 units of multi-family residential buildings in Korea. In this study, we evaluated an effect of flush-out using indoor air quality simulation to figure out how indoor air pollution emissions could be reduced by a performing period, a supply air volume, and indoor temperature and relative humidity during the flush-out. As a result, it revealed that the flush-out should be performed at least 14 days to reduce the indoor air pollution more than a half. In addition, indoor temperature around 20°C and relative humidity around 50% were shown less significant factors affecting indoor air pollution reductions during the flush-out. | - |
