- Abstract
- Spatial modulation (SM) is a recently proposed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system that can offer low complexity, and avoid inter-antenna synchronization (IAS) and inter-channel interference (ICI). However, SM considers only for single user system. In this paper, we study the bit error rate (BER) performance and complexity of SM in uplink multi-user systems by maximum-likelihood (ML) optimal detection. The BER performance is investigated by Monte Carlo simulations. The channel from any transmit antenna to any receive antenna is assumed to be independent identically distributed (i.i.d.) Rayleigh fading channels.
