Abstract

Stent thrombosis (ST) is a rare but catastrophic complication of a drug-eluting stent. Although dual antiplatelet therapy with aspirinand clopidogrel significantly reduces the occurrence of ST, it continues to occur and is occasionally associated with clopidogrelresistance. Here, we describe a 71-yr-old man with subacute stent thrombosis and clopidogrel resistance following drug-elutingstent implantation who underwent successful ticagrelor rescue therapy.
